Charles E. Dain, 85, Kokomo, father of LE Dain, 1425 W. 3rd St, died at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Good Samaritan Home at Kokomo, where h had been a patient in failing health for several months. Mr. Dain was born Nov 23, 1872 on a farm in Montgomery County, the son of Martin (Marion) and Cynthia Dain, He moved to Kokomo in 1916 from Darlington and worked as a carpenter. His wife, Grace die din 1955. Surviving is one son, LE Dain, Anderson; one daughter, Mrs. Prudence Milner; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A son, Harley, died in 1957. The body was taken to the Fenn Funeral Home in Kokomo where friends will be received after 2 p.m. today and where services will be conducted Saturday at 2 pm. By the Rev. Chester Mitchell. Burial will be in Crown Point Cemetery in Kokomo. - kbz
